- 1. They have a MUI *AND* a classact GUI interface, both of which look
- very nice.
-
- 2. What info are you actually trying to retreive? SAerver info?
- operational info?

- This version from the mcmedia page IS NOT a fake, they have been
- working with the creators of ICQ (former Amiga users, i might add) to
- get the server information. Without this, they cannot progress any
- further, as the protocol is so complex it is beyond regular servers.
-
- Just how the hell do you intend to get this to work - especially as
- you dont have a PC version to work with? There are no server names,
- port names, plus, how the feck are you going to get it to log ion
- correctly - if you have no damn clue WTF it is looking for/sending
- every time it pings.
-
- Im sorry giark, but im afraid you`ll not get any further than a GUI
- unless you have some server specs. You have to remember, this package
- communicates with other ICQ users instead of relying on the server all
- the time, so good luck.
-
- I can tell you from my AmILC experience, even a basic server is NOT
- easy to work with whatsoever.

- Dont release it! Mirabilis will come down on you like a tonne of
- bricks. Do you honestly think they will let someone release freeware
- source code into the net that can seriously open up security risks to
- every single user on the ICQ network? Think about it, you can send and
- receive files, so whats to stop someone sending everyone a virus, or
- even worst, starting to delete files.
-
- Before releasing it - get a good lawyer, you`ll need it.
